Woman's Club of Pewaukee

For more than 120 years, the GFWC Woman's Club of Pewaukee has been dedicated to improving our community through volunteer service, philanthropy, education, leadership, historic preservation, and environmental stewardship.

Since our founding, members have made a lasting impact. The club helped establish Pewaukee's first public library in 1904, played a key role in preserving local history, and inspired the creation of the Pewaukee Area Historical Society in 1977. Today, we continue to support preservation efforts and community partnerships that celebrate our shared heritage.

Education has always been central to our mission. We award scholarships to graduating seniors and adult learners, sponsor Student Art, Writing, and Poetry Contests, and support programs that encourage creativity, learning, and leadership.

Giving back remains at the heart of everything we do. Over the decades, we have contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars and countless volunteer hours to local nonprofits, schools, and community programs. In 2026 alone, the club provided financial support to 21 nonprofit organizations.

Our commitment also extends to environmental stewardship through conservation education, community beautification, and projects that protect wildlife, animals, and natural resources. Members have served in leadership roles at the district, state, and national levels of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, helping shape initiatives that reach far beyond Pewaukee.

These highlights represent just a portion of our story. There have been many remarkable women, historic milestones, and an enduring community impact that have defined the GFWC Woman's Club of Pewaukee for more than a century.
